Life is full of ups, downs, and the unexpected. Sometimes we need help navigating that roller coaster and seeking help in that endeavor is a brave thing to do. I know firsthand how daunting it can be to step into therapy, but it is one I believe can help create a deeply fulfilling life. I commend you for exploring this option of self-discovery!
My approach to therapy is client-centered, meaning there is no better expert on your life than you. My goal as a counselor is to help guide and support you through your personal evolution. Rather than seeing life’s inevitable struggles as a problem to be solved, they can be used as a catalyst for growth, change, and the unfolding of your authentic self.
I join Alpine Lakes as an intern from Naropa University where I study Mindfulness-Based Counseling. In addition to psychotherapy, I am a 500-hr yoga teacher experienced in teaching meditation and mindful movement to individuals 5 to 75 years old. My therapeutic style incorporates Somatic Experiencing, Internal Family Systems, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
